What is parked (parqed)?

So what does “parked” or “parqed” mean and where did it all start?  Well, it began with the idea of coming up with a new word or phrase to see if it would spread.  After dealing with many jerks on a daily basis in different situations, the thought of someone being “parked” started to make sense.

By definition from dictionary.com, “parked” means - to put or leave for a time in a certain location.  Now, they are referring to vehicles, but we apply it to humans.  The thought that people leave their brains behind in a parking space is one way to explain it.  Another is that people stay in one space for a period of time and therefore can’t adapt or experience better ways of doing things.  They are stuck in there own little world or “parking” space and have no clue that the world doesn’t revolve around them.

We are also trying to refer to these people with a socially acceptable word instead of what we’d really like to call them.   When someone cuts us off on the road, we find ourselves saying, “You are parked!” (urparked), instead of  those four-letter non-niceties.  After all, people are parked.  Tell us what you think.
