Where Did Work Ethic Go?
Friday, April 25th, 2008In this economy where money is short and so are jobs, sometimes we need a refresher on work ethic. All the experience in the world doesn’t make up for the lack of it. Here are some tips that might help get or keep a job:
- Show up on time or early.
- If you can’t show up, you might want to let someone know, just a thought.
- Leave your problems at home.
- Have a positive attitude.
- If you aren’t the boss, realize you aren’t the boss.
- Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
- Realize you are replaceable, just like everyone else.
- If you want to be the boss, then work for yourself.
- Make an effort to do more than you were asked.
- Give praise and take praise well.
- Say “Please” and “Thank you”.
- Do your part to keep the working space livable.
Pretty much common sense.
