“It’s the gender stupid”

Tell me why Hillary Clinton does not receive the same respect as Barack Obama?  Why is she referred to as Mrs. Clinton, but he is referred to as Senator Obama?

Why are women supporting the first African American presidential candidate, but snubbing the first female presidential candidate?

Why do they call her “unfeminine” for being intelligent, tough, aggressive and strong.  Isn’t that what we want in a leader?

Why isn’t Obama called “unmanly” for the same traits?

Why?  “It’s the gender stupid”.  Wake up people, pay attention and discover that Hillary’s the really qualified candidate.

I don’t look at it as a vote for an African-American vs. a woman. That’s exactly what people shouldn’t be doing, but rather vote for the person that has the most similar beliefs to their own. Senator Clinton is my first choice, and the jury’s still out for me regarding Mr. Obama!

Good point torn. One should vote according to similar beliefs, but the problem is the media is making this an African-American vs woman issue. All I know is that I will not be voting for McCain.

Senator Clinton and Mr. Obama thank you -:)

I tend to agree that it a gender thing, but it might be a lot more….the media has decided they do not like Hillary for whatever their reasoning, it is not right or fair!
The American people are being led in the wrong direction and it is sad to see the best choice for America being swept under the proverbial rug. I for one am backing the RIGHT person for the tough job as president, the one with the most qualification, experience, determination and compassion to do what is right for our country and us!
It is a bonus that the best candidate is a woman!
If you did not get to see Saturday Night Live last night(2/23/08), go to their website. Watch their opening and “weekend update” with Tina Fey. The show was RIGHT ON in their portrayal of the BS going on with the media and the Dem.campaign. “Bitch Is The New Black”….Good stuff from an old friend (SNL).
Anyone who cares and has a little extra cash, go on hillaryclinton.com and DONATE!! Help her take Texas and Ohio, etc!! We need to get this campaign going in the right direction, again!

The media has been SSSSOOOOOOOO unfair to Clinton (and that’s SENATOR Clinton, not Mrs. Clinton and Obama doesn’t have to hold her chair for her when she gets up). There are so many subtle things like that going on. The media has dished her, bashed her and ignored her. They won’t touch Senator O - is that maybe because they think they would appear racist if they bashed him? If the tables were turned and they said things about him like they were saying about her, the country would be up in arms about it. I guess women are still considered second class citizens. It nauseates me that people would actually vote for a man whose only answers have been learned along the way in this campaign. He is a wonderful, inspirational speaker and a good man, but Clinton has been working on these issues for years, has a good relationship with many countries in the world, has defined plans to get the economy on track, has well thought out programs to help ALL people, global warming, health care (B.O. likes to say that people won’t be able to afford her health care, but she has in place programs to help subsidize costs for lower income). She has actual answers in place already. It will take B.O. a year just to get acclimated to the job. What are people thinking? We need help right away, not after someone has learned the ropes. Hillary wants change, peace, compassion as much if not more than B.O. and she has the ability to actually deliver. PLEASE America - wake up, come out the clouds. If you want the things you say you do, there is only one choice. Clinton is the only one who can beat the republicans. Have you noticed that a lot of the states that the other candidate has won in are states that republicans can switch and vote in all primaries. Don’t tell me those people are going to vote for B.O in the election for President. All the dirt’s out on Clinton - she’s been stomped, bashed, insulted, ripped apart and she still stands tall, proud, intellegent, compassionate and strong. Now, isn’t that what we want in a president?
